Warwickshire company in fine spirits after serving up a double on last year's Christmas bookings
A Warwickshire business is looking forward to celebrating its first ‘real Christmas’ as it gets into the festive spirit with Covid-19 fears put on ice.
Warwickshire Gin Company is serving up festive cheer this year as it celebrates a return to unrestricted in-person events and public gatherings to cap its third full year in operation at their distillery space in Royal Leamington Spa.
Dave Blick, owner of the Leamington-based business, took just 91 festive bookings last year as the Omicron variant spread, but now has over 200 gin tasting experiences in his festive calendar – with its busiest period yet to come.
To help spread the festive cheer, the business has gifted 20 pairs of gin tasting experiences to local charities in the build up to Christmas for use in fundraising activities and raffle prizes.
And to help visitors take the Christmas spirit home with them, Dave has recently launched the new Warwickshire Gin Company collection – which includes a taste of all five gin products in a luxury presentation box.
Dave said: “We see this as our first real Christmas given what happened in last two years, and we have been overwhelmed by the interest the public has taken in our gin tasting experiences and products.
“We were able to increase our gin tasting capacity to 12 in October, and have enjoyed supporting corporate events and private celebrations throughout the year thanks to the easing of restrictions at the start of the year.
“We are always keen to help support physical fundraising events as, like ourselves, the return of public gatherings has made a huge difference to charitable organisations of all sizes.
“We are looking forward to a very busy festive season, and hope to celebrate with many from across the Warwickshire region and beyond, whether that’s in person at our tasting events – or enjoying our products at home.”
