Hospitality firm has one eye on Christmas after renewing patron partnership

Hospitality leaders in Coventry and Warwickshire are hoping to play their part in a huge festive season for the region after renewing a key partnership.

No Ordinary Hospitality Management (NOHM) has set its sights on this year’s festive trading period after renewing its Patron membership with Destination Coventry, the region’s Destination Management Organisation (DMO).

Destination Coventry has backed the group to have another booming Christmas after a successful 2022.

NOHM signed up as one of the first Destination Coventry Patrons just over 12 months ago, and the group has since established partnerships with IXL Events Centre and Stoneleigh Abbey, adding to the wide range of conference and events facilities it operates at St Mary’s Guildhall and Coombe Abbey Hotel.

After renewing its Patron membership, first on the agenda is ensuring the four venues help to meet the huge demand for Christmas bookings ahead of a crucial time of year for the region’s events and hospitality sector.

Destination Coventry Patrons help to raise the profile of Coventry and the wider region to national and international audiences, positioning the area as a destination of choice and aiming to increase the value of tourism to the local economy in collaboration with the DMO.

Paul Jones, managing director of Destination Coventry, said the region is spoilt for choice when it comes to booking Christmas parties this year, with the four NOHM venues illustrating the high quality and variety of options on offer throughout Coventry and Warwickshire.

He said: “NOHM is an important ally in driving the region’s visitor economy, especially during the crucial festive period where they have a track record of success.

“We are thrilled to have them at our side again this year alongside our other brilliant ambassadors for the region, who are helping to create opportunities for collaboration between organisations on our doorstep as well as generating more incoming trade.”

Over 12,000 guests attended Christmas events at Coombe Abbey last year, with increases in room reservations, dinners, afternoon teas, Christmas parties and New Year’s Eve bookings making 2022 one of the most successful festive periods in the hotel’s history.

City centre venue St Mary’s Guildhall will also be bringing festive cheer to Coventry in a one-of-a-kind historical setting, with NOHM laying on a range of packages to suit businesses and parties of all sizes, including a range of private hire options in the Great Hall and buffets for up to 80 guests in Tales of Tea.

Stoneleigh Abbey and IXL Events Centre are also available for private Christmas parties. As corporate business partners with both venues in two popular Warwickshire locations, NOHM can help to tailor functions of all sizes to suit a range of needs.

Kathy Nakra, Director of Sales at NOHM, said: “Destination Coventry is an incredibly important partner for us and it’s great to be uniting once again ahead of a huge year for the region.

“We have been spreading the word via our Christmas at Coombe brochure for several weeks now and we are already seeing strong demand for our corporate Christmas packages across our venue portfolio, which also includes IXL Events Centre, Stoneleigh Abbey and St Mary’s Guildhall.

“There are lots of great venues to host business functions and office parties across the region, and we are looking forward to contributing to another festive season to remember in Coventry and Warwickshire.”
