Council seeks opinions of the local creative sector

Local businesses and those working in the creative sector are being asked to give their views on the future shape of the industry in the local area.

Warwick District Council has commissioned BOP Consulting, an international consultancy specialising in culture and the creative economy to rerun a survey originally undertaken in 2019. The survey aims to understand strengths and successes of the creative community in the District and identify challenges faced by the sector.

The results of the previous survey informed the creation of Warwick District’s Creative Framework, a five-year strategy that aims to accelerate creative sector growth and maximise its impact across Warwick district, through partnership and collaborative working. The findings from the new survey will feature in a refreshed framework that will be available in 2024.

Councillor Ella Billiald, Portfolio Holder for Arts and Economy said: “The Council has a longstanding history of supporting and developing the creative and arts sector in Warwick District, including our Spark symposium and Ignite summer social, as well as the various support grants we offer.

“It’s important for us to understand how we can support and develop the community over the next five years, so please do complete the survey and let us know your views.”

If you are a creative business or individual working in Warwick District and would like to help to inform the future direction of the creative sector, please complete the online survey.
