About this Event
The Institute for Advanced Manufacturing at the University of Nottingham is delighted to announce that as part of the new Aerospace UP project, we will be hosting a two day interactive workshop “Driving Innovation in the Workplace through Lean Six Sigma” for SMEs based in within the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) area.
This 2 day introduction to lean thinking will be an interactive opportunity for local businesses to explore the potential of lean and six sigma in their working environment.
Led by a Lean Practitioner and Six Sigma Master Black Belt with over 25 years of experience the two sessions will cover areas from strategic direction setting and execution, to delivery and staff engagement. Other topics will include waste & value identification, Kaizen, SIPOC, Process Flow Mapping, Standardisation of Work Flows and many more! Established principles and tools of the Toyota Production System methodology will be integral to building knowledge and understanding for all businesses and operations at any stage of their growth.
• The first half of this workshop will be on 1st April 2020
• The second part the following week on 8th April 2020
The workshop is split into two parts which will allow participants to go away and apply the techniques they have learnt in Part 1, before returning for the second half of the workshop to feedback their findings the week after.
