The Department for International Trade (DIT) is undertaking a unique approach, to match overseas demand with UK railway interests. The aim is to have UK Suppliers direct our engagement in selected market/s based on mutual interest.
How it works:
DIT has initiated a collaboration with Rail Forum and Africa House have structured a unique three phase engagement plan:
Phase 1: Know the Region (Africa), 12th July 2022
Phase 2: Understand the opportunity, September 2022
Phase 3: Build your Network, November 2022
Phase 1 sees the Department for International Trade (DIT) and its collaborative partners present the overall rail industry trends across the African continent, several live opportunities and the UK perspective on selected markets.
This initial stage will require UK Suppliers to select an opportunity for further analysis in Phase 2.
Phase 1 will provide:
- Understanding of the trends, challenges and opportunities
- Projects will be presented in terms of stage of development estimated value, UK supply
- Access to information on the business climate, such as the macro-economic, financial, political, regulatory, policy and competitive landscape
