Future Mobility at UK House - Automotive
Organiser
The UK Government is delighted to invite you to discover the latest thinking, innovations, success stories and solutions in the Automotive and Future Mobility Industry. Building on the cooperative spirit of the Commonwealth Games and the UK’s climate leadership at COP26, UK House is a forum for an exclusive in-person and virtual audience of businesses and government officials from around the world.
Taking place during Birmingham 2022, UK House is a platform to bring together businesses, key decision makers and governments to discover opportunities for partnership and innovations for sustainable growth. Over the next two decades, transport technology will change faster than at any time since the Victorian era. In place of cars powered by fossil fuels and internal combustion engines, we will have electric and autonomous vehicles, with two Gigafactories already announced in the North East and planning permission granted for a West Midlands Gigafactory. High speed rail will transform journeys between our major cities, and hugely enhance freight capacity. Drones will deliver goods to people’s houses. And people will continue to produce and use more data than ever before, with profound implications for transport.
We live in a time of unprecedented change in the transport system. Changes in the nature of working and shopping, new technologies and behaviours – such as automation, vehicle electrification and the sharing economy – are already having an impact on how the system functions, while the intersection of the physical and digital realms is changing how transport is planned and used. These developments bring exciting possibilities which, if grasped, will bring significant social benefits.
We would like to invite you to join us for a 2 day trade and investment programme at UK House, Birmingham.
