This is one of a series of FREE Workshops from Focus Digital.
If you are an SME based in the following areas: Black Country, Coventry & Warwickshire, Greater Birmingham and Solihull or The Marches and would like to know more about Cyber Security and how it can affect your business, Coventry University Enterprises Business Solutions are offering you the chance to attend a FREE day workshop, with the option of an extra 6 hours one-to-one support for your business.
The workshop is a full day of 6 hours with refreshments and lunch provided. You are asked to arrive promptly at 09am for a 09:30 start.
Stories of organisations exposing customers' information to cyber threats, continue to create headlines in the media, as well as the cyber criminals targeting companies' data, money and knowledge assets. It is becoming increasingly important for organisations to not only maintain robust cyber security measures but to also demonstrate this to clients.
This one-day workshop will provide an overview of the prevailing threats to the digital security of small business, as well as providing guidance on strategies for prevention and protection and the importance of building digital strategy in to core business processes.
The workshop will also provide details of the national accreditation scheme, Cyber Essentials and guidance on how to self-assess and obtain the certification.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Is your company based within an eligible LEP area (Black Country, Coventry & Warwickshire, Greater Birmingham and Solihull or The Marches)?
- Are you an SME with less than 250 Employees?
- Does your company have either and annual turnover not exceeding £30m (EUR 43m)? OR and annual balance sheet total not exceeding £30m (EUR 43m)?
- Is your company owned or part owned by one or more companies?
- If yes, does the owning company group fall within the definition of an SME?
- If no, you're not eligible for this workshop.
- Has your company received public funding if more than EUR 200,000 under De Minimis regulation in the last 3 years?
- If yes, you're not eligible for this workshop.
