Coventry & Warwickshire Careers Hub

Welcome, new supporters & existing employers working with the Coventry & Warwickshire Careers Hubs. The team were pleased to officially launch both hubs at the Chamber of Commerce Annual Economic Conference on the 15th November 2019. It was fantastic to see so many pledges of support from local businesses for schools’ careers activities in the region. As schools now make one final push for careers activities before the Christmas break, we are grateful for all your support.

Welcome new Enterprise Advisor;

Lara Warburton
I am excited to be a new Enterprise Adviser for Stoke Park School in Coventry.  I’ve spent nearly 25 years working in Human Resources in blue chip organisations and currently work at Eversheds Sutherland, a global law firm, where I have responsibility for Diversity and Inclusion, Corporate Responsibility and Pro Bono.

Given the role of an EA is to work with the school’s senior leadership team to support the development of a whole school strategy for careers, enterprise and employer engagement I see it as a natural extension of my day job which is about ensuring a diverse team and an environment where everyone can be at their best. That includes a focus on ethnicity, social mobility disability and gender, amongst others.

Research has indicated many of factors that influence a person’s career are established early in their life – through home and family life but also through their school life. I’m looking forward to working together with Helen Pinder from Stoke Park, and Emma Carty from the Coventry and Warwickshire LEP, and to see what we can achieve for the benefit of the students.

Coventry & Warwickshire have 37 schools ready to be matched. If you or someone in your network would be interested in becoming an Enterprise Advisor; please visit the CEC website to find out more and get in touch
