Find out how Active Travel can help your business. This workshop will explore the benefits of active travel and opportunities to support your staff, visitors and customers to make sustainable travel choices.

This workshop supports the Active Travel section of the Thrive at Work Award and is aimed at those currently working towards the award and those that are interested in finding out more.

Speakers from Coventry City Council, Warwickshire County Council and Atkins.

Exploring the interconnection between transport, pollution, air quality and health, Ben (Atkins) will demonstrate how your business can meet the Active Travel and Travel Planning elements of Thrive, and how this can benefit your business. We will cover the benefits of active travel and how this can help improve the health and wellbeing of your employees, whilst also looking at how to improve your environmental credentials and reduce your emissions. Through a few small changes we can all make Coventry and Warwickshire a cleaner, greener and better place to live and work!”

We advocate active travel and public transport where possible.

Walking – Friar Gate is close to Coventry Railway Station.

Cycling – There is secure cycle parking on site. Plan your journey by bike. If you are planning on doing this please let your meeting host know so they can arrange to let you in to the cycle park.

Public Transport – Coventry Railway station .

Park & Ride – Parking is free at War Memorial Park & Ride and hop on the bus for a 5 minute journey to Warwick Road bridge for Friargate?Or enjoy a 25 minute walk to Friargate through War Memorial Park.

Electric Vehicles – There are charging points at War Memorial Park and near the Council House on Little Park St.

Parking – There is no on-site parking, but if you need to drive there are public car parks in the city centre. (approx 10 min walk)
