Morning Sessions 10.00-12.15:
Start Your Own Business
- If you aren’t’ sure that starting your own business is for you, you can’t do better than join us for this session. W We look at personal budgeting – how much do you need to earn from your business to survive. Then we look at what you want to achieve from your business – practical exercises will help you visualise this. A key step – we’ll look at what skills you have and those you need – and how you can bridge these gaps. We also take a quick look at how you register your business and the basics for business planning.
Ask the Accountant
- Discuss the practicalities of how and when to set up and register or set up a business.
- Unpick the basics of employment when and how to do it – and the salary and tax implications depending on whether you are a sole trader or limited company
- Do you know what costs can be claimed against your profit?
- What common insurances should you have?
And so much more. Don’t be shy – this session is about answering the questions you’d ask your accountant if you had one.
Pricing for Success
- Do you know what options you have when you are considering pricing – and what the implications for your choice might be? Or perhaps you want to know how to develop an effective launch strategy? You want to encourage take-up whilst managing different pricing strategies
