One week until start of first Coventry & Warwickshire Business Festival

The first annual Coventry & Warwickshire Business Festival fortnight will get underway on Monday next week (20 November).

The Business Festival is a two week programme of free events put on by business for business. There are over 100 different events taking place over the fortnight, ranging from impressive trade shows and conferences to workshops, seminars and small networking meetings.

There is a far-reaching geographical spread with events in every district of the region – North Warwickshire, Nuneaton and Bedworth, Rugby, Warwick, Stratford-on-Avon and Coventry.

Events range across different subject matters from professional and financial services; automotive and advanced manufacturing; education and logistics; to games and serious gaming; health and wellbeing and creative; digital and culture sectors.

Developed by the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and the Coventry & Warwickshire Growth Hub, the Business Festival has already become the region’s largest business event with 114 events in the programme and over 7000 people anticipated to attend – with 15 per cent of these expected to be from outside the region.

Craig Humphrey, managing director of the Coventry & Warwickshire Growth Hub, said: “I am really looking forward to our first Business Festival. We wanted to create a brand-new concept that would bring the whole business community together as well as promote the fantastic opportunities that this region has to offer on a global stage.

“The businesses across Coventry and Warwickshire have shown that they are ready for this innovative and different business venture. With 114 events in the programme, there will be plenty going on over the fortnight and something for everyone whether they are a small or micro–business owner or a large corporate organisation.

“There is still time to get tickets and I urge businesses and individuals from across Coventry and Warwickshire to visit the website and reserve their tickets now before it’s too late, as several events have already sold out."

The 2017 Business Festival is being supported by headline partner, the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC).

Dr. Clive Hickman, chief executive of the MTC said, said: “Our mission is inspiring. Great British Manufacturing on the global stage. We take ideas from universities, utilising the best innovative manufacturing processes and technologies, and drawing on the skills of our people, we look to make those great ideas become reality

“We have an opportunity to illustrate this during this month’s inaugural Coventry & Warwickshire Business Festival, which we are proud to be sponsoring.”
